Big news for Sarah Jessica Parker fans! The actress/fashionista/awesome shoe designer for SJP has partnered with Ryan Lobo and Ramon Martin of Tome on a new footwear collection.
‘It happened, as they say, organically. We’re longstanding fans of the lady, Sarah Jessica Parker, and I happened to know somebody who knew her and we asked. We really loved her shoes and we’re a New York brand and there are few people more iconic or iconically New York.’ Too true. ‘Some collaborations are a pleasure, some fall into a different basket and this was the former - it was a real pleasure,’ admitted Ryan.
Parker, Lobo, and Martin created a line of classically shaped heels in a range of neutral and bright colors. The collection became available available via Moda Operandi this week.
It seemed to be a pretty easy move for all the designers as Lobo and Martin are big SJP fans (but, who isn't?) and SJP also quite admires them. Parker told Vogue “I just think they’re so talented. It’s really so exciting to see. And really, they seem so well adjusted, which is so important, and we overlook a lot of disposition things when we talk about designers’ talents, because it takes an enormous amount of fortitude to survive, and high highs and low lows and it’s really hard. And they seem like healthy young men, I mean healthy here,” she said, clasping her hand to her heart.
In other shoe news, Parker's SJP shoe collection is now available at Zappos Couture. “It’s been particularly exciting to work with the Zappos Couture team over the past few months preparing for this launch. Their enthusiasm and understanding of our brand has been thrilling, and we’re so pleased with the curation that’s been put together for the SJP customer.”
