You Will Get Carrie-d Away With Sarah Jessica Parker's New Shoe Line!

SJP heel collection

Sarah Jessica Parker has a new shoe line, SJP, and like everything Parker does, it is pretty magical. Oprah.com got the first glimpse of the shoe line (which features a shoe named after her famous Sex & the City character Carrie Bradshaw) and you should be pretty excited. Parker added a real personal touch to these shoes as you can see in the video here.

“The thing is, when I was growing up, we really didn’t have two nickels to rub together, but my mother always made sure that my sisters and I had two grosgrain ribbons in our hair. The rule was that we ironed them every single morning. We even had a special bureau dedicated to hair ribbons. I have them for my own daughters now, and my nieces wear them too. The grosgrain ribbons make SJP’s really identifiable to others and really personal to me.”

In the debut collection you will see The Carrie, a nude T-strap sandal heel, to The Diana, which were pumps inspired by Mahnolo Blahnik’s famous Mary Jane. Though Parker probably doesn't have a shoe budget, she is mindful that other women do.  SJP prices will range from $195 to $485 and bags will be $375 and under. ”Those are hard-earned bucks so I really tried to give women beautiful silhouettes and colors and excellent quality for their money. I didn’t want to do anything that says, ‘Oh, these shoes are 2014.’ I want my shoes to be a part of the world for a long time to come” said Parker in a statement about the new line. So basically this is a pretty good investment for any woman. You know Carrie would have thought so.

“In a silly way, I think it’s what people have expected of me most because of Carrie Bradshaw,” Parker told Vogue.com last year. “It’s sort of soup to nuts. You put on a shoe and you put on a coat and you wear a bag and, on the outside, when you’re walking down the street, they really can tell the same story about yourself.”

We can't wait to pair SJP shoes (available Feb.28 in Nordstrom's) with a pair of Solemates high heelers
