Best DIY Pedicure Products
Foot File
There are many different types of foot files, but they all do the same thing: remove and smooth the tough skin from the bottom of your feet. One type we have used and recommend is the Amopé Pedi Perfect Electronic Pedicure Foot File.
Exfoliators
After filing your feet until they’re smooth, you’ll want to exfoliate your skin with a wet product to ensure that you remove any stubborn skin. There are many exfoliator products available like C.O. Bigelow - Lemon Sugar Body Scrub - No. 1159 that will do a great job. Of course, if you’re looking to save money you can always make your own scrub with brown sugar, olive or coconut oil and fresh lemon juice.
Moisturizer
When it comes to moisturizer for your feet, the thicker the better. Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Foot Crème is an inexpensive option for a top quality foot cream. Slathering your feet with moisturizer after exfoliation will further smooth your feet.
Cuticle Oil
Dry cuticles can lead to splitting, which is a painful experience you want to avoid. Although it may sound strange, coconut oil is a great moisturizer for your cuticles. With hundreds of uses for coconut oil and many brands starting at fifteen dollars and under, it’s an excellent buy.
Nail Polish
For summer, go with bright colors. Orange, coral, even a bright yellow can be fun. OPI offers high quality polish and with names like Need Sunglasses, Charged Up Cherry, and That’s Berry Daring you can have fun picking out your color by name.
